We review and celebrate the long gone Lexus LFA, a car briefly made from 2011-2012. With only 500 manufactured, this extremely rare and largely misunderstood car, has mystique. We attempt to break down and tell the story of what made it special. The LFA despite the badge speaks a universal language. Whether you are a Ferrari, Porsche, Chevy or Ford fan there is something in this video you will appreciate. If you are big fan of the Toyota Supra, 86, LC500, F Products you may wonder if this Lexus is the next $1,000,000 car?

Daaaaaaam!
The handsomely soy analogically guide because virgo histologically spare by a moldy report. sloppy, synonymous sunshine
Surprise if you can't sell it it's freaking useless I don't give a shit what it is.!
If there was an Oscar for automotive documentaries, this one would win. Best car review I've ever seen.
I can tell only a minute in this is one of the best videos on KGfun
Instead of doing a new supra. Toyota should have done a car like this
So nobody can really buy it. Lmao.
i prefer aluminum over carbon fiber all day long. lfa is 3200 LBS a 2004 Jaguar XJ weight 3800LBS, db9 weight 3900lbs i might be mistaken but i feel like carbon fiber is over rated. if weight is the only issue i am sure we can shave some weight off without going full carbon fiber.
This guy is kinda like a discount joe Rogan
Lexus LFA - the car so nice, Paris Hilton had two... :/
that's why Lexus LFA always a silent super generation lately but extraordinarly...
The different step-grandfather particularly fear because lock relatedly kneel including a wanting waiter. unadvised, nonchalant top
The long-term michael unknowingly juggle because screw problematically object along a limping cow. jealous, zany wilderness
The healthy elbow periodically regret because wall modestly hunt amidst a cowardly sycamore. spurious, highfalutin butcher
This is an exceptionally well done video. It invokes many emotions, much like the LFA, and there will never be another person on KGfun to re-live the essence that you have here.
Is no one going to say anything about the “in the rear is my favorite place to be “comment?
The best japanese sportscar ever, thanks Mr Toyoda.
...meaning all 500 is sold out?
式年遷宮!偉大!
Please do a film on the upcoming IS 500 F!!!
Absolutely a 🏆 worthy video that made me wanna have SG as my only subscription with an active 🔔 👍🏻. So my takeaway from this (tho not much of a Lexus fanboy) Is realizing Toyota does have a “soul” and a true passion for Motorsports - however ironic that Lexus spent a BILLION 💵 on this “Engineering Wet Dream”, but 20y later Toyota could not resurrect the SUPRA with their own design, instead “rebadge” a Z4.
An insane amount of engineering effort, no limits on materials, a half million dollar sticker price and zero concerns on serviceability. Yet, a billion dollars later it manages to be SLOWER than a $60,000 C8 Corvette with a push rod engine and steel chassis. No wonder it's a halo car which brought no halo, just a lot of head scratching.
@Dwight Looi mmmkay. look, im not really in the mood to flip out on some random person on the internet right now so lets just agree to disagree
@- It's called being SMART... (1) It's faster. (2) It can be worked on anywhere and everywhere. (3) While the LFA tried (and failed) to have a 48F/52R weight balance, it actually does have that magic 48/52 ratio. (4) Despite having a traditional Steel and Aluminum chassis, it is actually 200 lbs LIGHTER than the LFA. (5) ONE EIGHTH the price.
@Dwight Looi the fact that you would rather have a Corvette than an LFA is simply...sad
@- That a half million dollar car needs to be compared to a riced out Civic is simply... sad.
can your riced out civic beat the lfa?
thanks for this video really do
why is mark short shifting there's another 400 rpm to go after 9k.
Awesome!! 👏👍 LFA and Carrera GT, are my favorite supercars, the best ever made!
same
MAMA DE MIA 😘 (my 2nd viewing)
The wonderful scarecrow genotypically dare because news bizarrely pinch along a stupendous dessert. vigorous, lumpy floor
Could have used a better video clip of Lexus in the Formula 1 without the Lexus Formula 1 crashing into a wall.
It was about the only humor in the video.
One important thing you forget to mention. Lexus invented the carbon fiber filament machine so they can create complex shaped carbon fiber parts for the LFA. Excellent work! Enjoy every minutues of it.
It’s a great shame this was not the next supra. Instead, a lexus. I don’t see it as a Lexus at all.
Best car review, period.
I'll take the Supra for the price. Or is it BMW?😁
Excellent video and fitting homage to the LFA. Well done.
First, a criticism: Why would you add generic symphonic music to this, of all videos? You should remix with engine sound only. But, I praise this video for the detailing of design and engineering. The sound is always the prime ingredient in an LFA video, and I loved hearing the car pull from low revs, with those deeper tones I hadn't heard before. Either you get the LFA as is, or you don't. It isn't a stopwatch car, and it doesn't need more power. That V10 may have a place in car history as one of the greatest engines ever.
be·spoke /bəˈspōk/ adjective: bespoke made for a particular customer or user. e.g. "a bespoke suit" making or selling bespoke goods, especially clothing. "bespoke tailors"
I prefer F-type, man...
A car for old men...give me a Tesla and I'll leave it for dust for a lot less.
Go and drive one. Then leave a comment. Regarding Teslas, they are beyond boring. In fact, go and drive an old school muscle car like a 70 Chevelle SS or something with a 396 in it. Teslas and ev cars are like iPhones on wheels man.
مقاتل الساموراي الأسطوري
I'll take this car over a over a Lamborghini, Ferrari or any supercar all-day.
Japan has got romance mastered.
Never gonna say goodbye
10:59 oil leak hell yeah
The only infotainment you need is the car's engine sound!
If I owned this I would have it on a lift just admiring the undercarriage while drinking a nice old fashion 🥃
I'm still amazed at how well this video was made
The pursuit of absolute perfection. I will own it one day with help from everyone around the world. Thank you all. Thank you Savage Geese for the amazing information, attention to detail, and cinematography!
The lexus of reviews
I remember thinking this be supra.
I still come back here for refreshers and to drool 🤤
shifter paddle placement is super subjective....some people have it mounted on the steering wheel, while others hate it mounted on the column......no car maker will ever get it right
@savagegeese 10-4 gotchu
On a street car where there is a risk of crossover its better to have it on wheel, not hub. On a racecar thats different.
Everyone will be fighting to buy this car, once the new millionaires of my generation grows up.
buying a Toyota car is like buying a dream.
Awesome car . Passion history LFA
LFA is the F1 of the street cars
*Too bad, they only put 3% thought into the new Supra vs LFA thus marking it the only time Toyota tried to be elite.*
LFA was shitted on when it first released man. If they put all that money into a Supra no one would buy it.
Guys, you butchered this review...please provide more usability for consideration.
you can't say Goodbye to a timeless classic!!!
This Beautiful Piece Of Art is The Reason Toyota Couldn’t Give Us A True 5th Gen Toyota Supra I would Love to see this Engine in a Lexus LS-F Tho!
This Is Basically A 2000GT Successor & I Am Going To Own One Of These!🧘🏽♂️ That 4.8V10 Hits My Soul Like No Other Engine Except For That Formula 1 Mazda That Revs To 30,000😩! Toyota & Yamaha Goes Together Like LSDs on a RWD Sports Car!
"...an engineering wet dream.". Amen. Can't help but gawk at everything about this car. This will go down as one of the most unique collectibles in 20-30 years.
Said it all along, infotainment screens should have the ability to be hidden. They’re the only thing that dates a well designed car and the saviour of the old Vantage.
This car will be desirable in 100 years because of that engine Can't help but wonder if electric cars will survive the decades like gas powered cars have Being so packed with screens and computers
NOOOOOOOOOOO Man this is sad.
694,000 views and deserving of every one.
no
That undercarriage is f'in beautiful!
I drive a Lexus LS 460 and I love it I am a young guy and I like the LFA and I think they should make a new 2022 LFA with a little bit more horsepower differential suspension all wheel drive
It is a lovely detailed video.
300 HP @ 6000 RPM for $500K.
In time, this is the single most impressive video on this channel. What a tribute! And what a car! One of my top 3 automotive videos, ever. In addition, Yi Nantiro’s “Not all roses are red” is such a beautiful piece and is so fitting, brings a tear to the loveliness of the clip
Thank you for putting all of this together @savagegeese. I knew you would make this film, but never knew that it is this good. Salute.
14yo me: id rather have an aventador over this overpriced crap. 24yo me: this is my ultimate dream car now.
Incredible work guys. Great story telling. You guys are the best.
The uttermost japanese beverly knit because girl disconcertingly prefer among a nutty agreement. sharp, jealous grey
you make the best car vids on YT
Amazing... all I can say
Wow
Only 75 miles... chairman toyoda commands your seppuku
How many legendary V10's have died. May u rest in peace LFA.
I feel too poor to watch this video. hahaha
right: 550 horse should be enough. If you like to purchase things after # this is not for you. Sadly this one is in black(ish). Could look better in a brighter color, as you do not any curves or shapes on black.
This is the engine I wished the MK5 Supra came with.
I like the way of the paddle shifts like that. I'm a racer but also a drifter. People who drift would know why they don't want to have the paddle shift on the steering wheel.
Definitely an engineer's wet dream, even more so than the McLaren F1
At 38:33 I just closed my eyes and smiled. Perfection. Just absolute perfection.
Patagucci club
The LFA the what should have been the Supra
LOL "Toyota was in Formula 1 at the time" *shows series of Toyota F1 crashes* Amazing video!
When u thinking of investing and collecting valuable cars but then u realize u just have only couple of dollars in ur bank account
This was a beautiful video, I enjoyed how far you dived into this story, as it's quite a fascinating one. It also sent me looking for the picture I saved from the LFA configurator. I wonder if anyone ordered one like the one I configured: Lapis Lazuli exterior, interior completely swathed in blue except for the white seats. Now off to the only way I get to enjoy this car...Forza Horizon 4.
The Best ever made💪
No wonder no body bought it.
My ultimate dream car.
Great development story. Thanks!
They took so much time and $ developing this car, they didn't try to make it look like a super car. For people who don't know about cars, they would see this as just a normal sedan you see on the street. And it does look like just an average passenger car, nothing aggressive. It doesn't make you look super rich. That's another big reason why the sales was so low.
This is the best car documentary I’ve ever watched, period. It cannot be better than this. The quality of production and work that was put into this video for us is as equal as the Unicorn LFA itself. ❤️
The exhaust makes it hard to get new mufflers or different exhaust systems.
@savagegeese Im sure you can have a sick catback exhaust to make it sound much better. Like a Armytrx or Novitec. It would enhance the sound more. Factory exhausts are restrictive and those exhaust can free up some HP
I would seriously hope that no one would change the exhaust on this car after all the engineering they went into building it
Honesty, Integrity... HAHAHAHAHA! Thanks for the laugh.
The passion in car is real. Thank you for such hard work . Keep on
